Good afternoon, traders!
Today on Fox Business, I broke down several names sitting at the intersection of the two biggest secular themes in the market right now: the AI data center buildout and the reshoring/strengthening of the electronics supply chain. These aren’t random tickers — they’re the companies actually building, powering, cooling, and manufacturing the infrastructure that’s enabling the AI revolution. Here are my Five-Star takes on $FLEX, $SANM, $STRL, and $VRT.
FLEX – Flex Ltd.
The original EMS heavyweight that’s been quietly transforming into a high-growth AI infrastructure player. Flex designs, manufactures, and manages supply chains for everything from data center equipment to autos and medical devices. The big catalyst right now? They were just added to the S&P 500 (effective June 22) and announced plans to spin off their Cloud & Power Infrastructure segment — the segment directly tied to AI data center power and cooling solutions. That spin-off creates a pure-play growth story while leaving the core high-volume manufacturing business leaner and more focused. FLEX has been one of the strongest performers in the EMS group for a reason — they’re winning share in the exact areas the market cares about most.

SANM – Sanmina Corporation
The undervalued EMS cousin that’s also riding the AI and communications wave. Sanmina provides integrated manufacturing solutions and high-tech components (PCBs, backplanes, cables, etc.) to OEMs in cloud/AI infrastructure, communications networks, defense, and industrial markets. They just posted another solid quarter with strong margins, healthy free cash flow, and a fresh $600 million share repurchase authorization. Demand in their cloud & AI infrastructure and communications segments remains robust. While FLEX gets more of the spotlight lately, SANM continues to deliver consistent execution and offers a compelling valuation relative to its growth profile.

STRL – Sterling Infrastructure
The pure-play construction name that’s become one of the best ways to play the physical data center boom. Sterling builds the sites — site development, civil work, foundations — for data centers, e-commerce warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and power projects. They also do traditional transportation and building work, giving them diversification. Recent quarters have been record-setters, guidance has been raised multiple times, and analysts keep bumping price targets higher. With data center capex still accelerating and U.S. infrastructure spending providing a steady tailwind, STRL remains one of the cleanest ways to own the “picks and shovels” of the AI buildout.

VRT – Vertiv Holdings Co.
The undisputed leader in critical data center infrastructure — power management and thermal management (cooling). If AI servers are the brains, Vertiv supplies the heart and lungs. Their liquid cooling and high-density power solutions are seeing explosive demand as AI clusters get bigger and hotter. Yes, the stock has been volatile (classic high-growth name behavior), but the long-term setup remains extremely powerful. Strong backlog, raised guidance in recent quarters, and continued analyst love. VRT is the name that consistently comes up when big tech and hyperscalers talk about what they need to keep scaling AI.

The Big Picture
These four stocks together tell the full story of what’s happening in AI infrastructure:
- $VRT = Power & Cooling (the direct AI enabler)
- $STRL = Physical site construction
- $FLEX & $SANM = Manufacturing & supply chain that actually builds the equipment going into those data centers
We’re still in the early-to-middle innings of this multi-year capex cycle. The companies that win will be the ones with real execution, scale, and exposure to the highest-growth parts of the stack. Bottom line: These are the names I highlighted on Fox Business today because they have the combination of secular tailwinds + recent catalysts + strong execution that Five-Star traders look for. Would you like me to expand any of these into deeper technical levels, options ideas, or risk/reward setups? Just reply, and I’ll get it over to you.
